Designing a pop-up design-led community practice that can be compacted into a suitcase was the objective of this project. The goal of the design-led community practices was to determine where a hypothetical type of memorial of an Auburn designer should be located around Dudley Hall. The suitcase opens to extend the tilted tables that display the information of the Auburn designers and the map of Dudley courtyard. The design within the suitcase must be collapsible to allow the user to hold the suitcase easily. Our design was to construct table that would lift up and tilt, creating a display for the viewers. The tables were designed through digital software and cnc-routed plywood. The construction is simple yet effective, allowing the viewers to both read and write on the surface.
